And if you ever get a chance, watch this classic movie with Paul Newman as Fast Eddie. I was up super late at night flipping through channels on my television when I stumbled upon this old movie. At first it seems to be a simple story about a pool shark, but under the laid back vibe lays a character study of what it means to be a winner and a loser. At one point in the film, all the characters can do is lie to each other. At another point Paul Newman is ridiculed down to the lowest. I figure to all our readers this flick might be an elusive one to get because it might not widely be known outside of the United States. But if you can get your hands on it, give it a watch. Be careful though, it’s pacing is on the old skool tip, so it might not be Michael Bay – approved.
