Kamusta! Philippines Series 2: San Agustin Church
| November 12th, 2010Ola! This is superly overdue, but finally, here’s part two of my Manila, Philippines visit this August. About a 45-50 minute drive from where I was putting up in Quezon, the stunning San Agustin Church was worth the ride. It was beautiful being there. Certainly brought much needed calm to my heart.
“A Roman Catholic church under the auspices of The Order of St. Augustine, San Agustin is located inside the historic walled city of Intramuros, Manila. It was completed in 1607 and is the oldest church still standing in the Philippines.
Its interior is absolutely charming. The beautiful ceiling murals were handpainted in 1875 by Italian artists.”
