West is the Best

| February 27th, 2010

The evening falls onto the West

The silent breeze speaks quietly

Onto to the hollow beat of the breast.

The solid titanium quadrant of your brain

escapes the beginning of the end

And silently says you should refrain.

You are the best. She is the worse.

Forever burn unto to the toast

blackened ripe with solitary hope.

Draining, she has in store

For excessive possession of one’s dope

Collapse unto your shoulder floor.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

| December 23rd, 2009

It’s been a while since anyone posted something on here… what happened?
Anyway I will start posting more again, cause seriously i think i have a lot of stuff worth sharing to you guys.

Anyway yes it’s Christmas! Last year I was alone and it wasn’t very fun, the year before i went to Switzerland which was absolutely beautiful and well this year I’m spending Christmas with my friends here in Antwerp. We’re having a 2 day Christmas party starting tomorrow! I can’t wait to eat, drink, sleep, play etc etc!!!

Sometimes I feel like this blog exists since so long but it doesn’t.

Anyway I have to go back to writing letters.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

“Pékin est pour moi l’antithèse de Shanghai. Plus dure, plus authentique, elle est surtout devenue ces dernières années, le lieu de prédilection de l’Avant-garde chinoise. Depuis mon premier voyage en 2001, elle a bien changé!”

“Beijing is to me the antithesis of Shanghai. Tougher, more authentic, especially in recent years it became the place of choice for the Chinese Avant-garde. Since my first trip in 2001, it has changed a lot!”

Pékin Underground by Alain Le Baquer

I remember the first time I saw this book at Fnac and thought “wow those photographs really inspire me”, I didn’t buy the book back then. Then I moved to Antwerp and decided to search for the book here… It wasn’t in store but I ordered it and about 4 weeks later got the book and I was beyond happy to finally have a copy of it. The book is just beautiful black and white photography with some text about Beijing nowadays or well “Beijing Underground”. It talks about music, art, politics and a couple of more subjects. The book is entirely in french though so I am sorry for you non speaking french peoples.

childhood dreams

| April 20th, 2009

So a couple of days ago I suddenly remembered listening to all these book tape stories when I was a child!
There was this particular one that I always loved it’s called “Der Kleine Flax” in english “The little Flax”, the story was written by James Krüss. It’s a story about boy who leaves home and has an adventure, it’s quite an extraordinary tale and actually abit scary for kids and the music is amazing too! Anyway I still have the tape somewhere in my schtuff I took it with me when I moved out. Since I have been searching for the mp3 online somewhere…. without any luck!!! (I do not give up)

Well I guess I need to show all this in images!
Oh and probably all of you don’t know Janosch or Der Kleine Flax cause it’s german…. so only Lumi will know this I guess?

Sometimes we need to get out of our own little comfort zone to feel better. Places can eat our souls. I believe so.
